Copper Wire for Fly Tying
Copper wire is a commonly used fly tying material. High-quality, fine, and soft copper wire can be used for nymph bodies or outlines, as well as for wet flies and buoyant dry flies. It features vivid colors and corrosion resistance.
0.2mm copper wire can also be used as tying thread. By twisting body fibers onto the wire with a dubbing tool, the resulting fly bodies are easy to shape. The wire adds some weight naturally, providing good sinking action without the need for additional lead.
