The progressive lens is intimidating to a few patients. We will simplify it. The prescription progresses from the distance prescription to the reading prescription. The first design was made over 50 years ago. Nowadays progressive lenses have greatly improved and offer less distortion on the side.
At Wally’s Optical our proprietary progressive lens design is surfaced digitally using free-form technology. It does not have a set form to follow. If it is surfaced to give you the optimum vision for distance, reading, and intermediate “intermediate is known as computer area”. Progressive lenses mainly give you a little bit of everything. For example, progressive lenses are great for computers but If you use computers all day it is recommended to have a separate computer pair.
Our proprietary progressive lens uses free-form technology that surfaces lenses in power increments of 0.01 diopter (D), compared with 0.125 to 0.25 D increments of conventional progressives.
At  Wally’s Optical we allow 30 days to try the lenses, if any issue arises we will redo them at no charge, or exchange them for 2 pairs 1 for distance and 1 for reading at no charge. Over 90 percent of our patients love our progressive lens and have no issues with it.
