Charters

At MacDougall Bluefin Tuna Charters, we offer full day fishing trips. Department of Fisheries and Oceans (DFO) regulations allow 3 releases per trip so there is lots of fun to be had by all. We leave in the early morning in order to maximize fishing opportunity. We plan to be out on fishing grounds by daybreak to get you the morning bite. That can mean leaving the wharf before sunrise. Often we will fish the entire day to maximize the opportunity to put our clients on tuna. We take charters of 1-4 people, but will handle 5-6 depending on circumstances. Our father/daughter crew welcomes people of all experience levels, all male groups, all female groups, co-ed groups, everyone welcome!  Each trip includes all the fishing gear you'll need, along with expert guidance and coaching to ensure lots of success and fun in the fighting chair.  The day consists of a continental breakfast as we head out to sea, mid-morning snacks, hot meal for lunch, and afternoon snack as well. Clients can be as hands on or hands off as they wish, and are welcome to participate in catching our live bait and have the opportunity to witness our bait net fishery as well.  All fuel, bait, equipment, tackle and food and beverages while aboard are included.  Appropriate clothing and footwear are the responsibility of the client, however we do have spare sets of foul weather gear that we are happy to share.
