Home-Based Bakery Notice
Straight From the Hearth is a home-based bakery operating in compliance with local regulations for food safety and cottage food laws in Alberta, Canada. All products are made in a home kitchen that may process common allergens, including but not limited to: wheat, dairy, eggs, nuts, soy, and gluten.
Allergen Information
While I take great care in preparing my products, all cookies may contain traces of allergens, even if they are not listed as ingredients. Customers with allergies or sensitivities to any of these ingredients should exercise caution when ordering.
Order Acceptance & Cancellation
Orders must be confirmed at least 14 days in advance. Cancellations or refunds are solely at the discretion of the owner. Refunds will not be provided for custom orders once production has begun.
Delivery & Pickup
For local orders, delivery or pickup arrangements will be discussed at the time of your order. Please inspect your order at the time of receipt and contact me immediately if there are any concerns.
Custom Orders & Personalization
Each order is made to your specifications; however, due to the handcrafted nature of my products, and edible food colour limitations, there may be slight variations in colour, size, shape, and appearance from order to order. I strive to create cookies that meet your expectations, but please note that due to the custom nature of each design, exact replication of specific colours, designs, or themes may not always be possible.
Shelf Life & Storage
My cookies are made fresh to order and should be consumed within 14 days of receipt for optimal taste and texture. To maintain freshness, cookies should be stored in an airtight container at room temperature or frozen for long-term storage. If freezing, please allow the cookies to come to room temperature before enjoying.
