A question I’ve been asked when I meet people is; how long have you been writing for? The answer is; my entire life, or at least as far back as I can remember.
Through grade school & high school I wrote short stories and poetry. When I was 17, I wrote my first book. I wrote it on a manual typewriter by candlelight in my first apartment. I didn’t have a television or phone, so I wrote non-stop. I loved it. Then, I stopped writing for more than 15 years. During this time, I used other creative outlets to entertain myself. When I returned to writing, I wrote full steam; one book after another.
To date, I have 33 books; 24 of them are fiction, 9 of them are true stories. However, my plan is to rewrite the 9 true stories into fictional versions and let the stories evolve. In doing so; it could end up in a completely different place and that's the beauty of it. I get to keep guessing what's going to happen along with everyone else.
